Before bed: paid bills; worked; watered my friend's plants; read "The Brothers Karamazov" (less than 100 pages left, now!); looked for the original version of the movie "Fright Night" at a pawn shop; went to see "Cowboys and Aliens" with a friend; debated bit

To bed at 1:10am

Woke up twice during the night due to hollering outside but when i got up to check on the source the first time there was no more sound and the second time just sounded like someone was really angry but not that anything terrible was happening)

1. (Don't recall this dream at all and will just write the notes i took.) <

1. Catching a bus in South St. Vital, missed one. Then missed two more. I ran after the next one and called my friend using my cell phone (i don't have a cell in real life) to tell her i am almost at the bus stop where she was waiting for me.

2. This dream took place at night and the location was right outside the house i live in, on the sidewalk. Two people who used to live in the house in real life were hysterical/homicidal and were carrying guns and firing them at each other or at anyone around or maybe at me. They were either after me, or each other, or everyone...i forget. There was some kind of a scuffle that left both of them dead (i think) by my hand (maybe?). Then, a demolition crane (or whatever...a wrecking ball) was brought to our house and began destroying it starting with the awning over the steps (which in the dream was way bigger than in real life...the awning covered more of the lawn, i mean). As the house was being destroyed, or maybe just after, a group of people and i without a belief in supernatural powers did an atheist blessing over the house. (Then there is a part of my notes i don't understand that appears to read <> followed by <<"I got shot last night.">>).

3. A man with very dark skin is arrested for playing guitar in a dance hall in Winnipeg in the early 1900s (possibly 1902? There was a specific year in the dream but couldn't exactly recall it on waking) and this was not allowed, although he may have been allowed to play other instruments. Since hanging would not be abolished for twenty years, the police (or some other group or somebody else) planned to hang the man. Then i, or someone else (they would've been "the fool" in older stories), said, "In the story of the man who held his bread over the other man's roasting pig to get flavour in his bread, the man with the bread pulled out a coin and hit it so that it rang, paying with the sound of the coin for the scent of the pork. Therefore, this man should have to pay for playing guitar in the dance hall by simply not being allowed to play in the dance hall anymore, but it would be OK for him to play other instruments." I am followed by a dog.

4. Possibly in the dream with the guns and house demolition, or some other dream but different, i think, from the one above, i was followed home by a mangy dog. (In "Cowboys and Aliens" the main character is followed by a mangy dog.)
